WELCOME TO MY SITE !

I was born in Argentina, and was surrounded by music since very small. I would say even before my birth, inside my mother’s womb from where I could hear most of the records my dad used to listen to: The Beatles, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Yes, Bossa Nova, Sinatra, Jazz, Big Bands, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Piazzolla, Elis Regina just to mention a few. My grandmother was a pianist and listening to her playing Debussy, Beethoven, Chopin and Strauss Waltzes was captivating. If I washed my hands she would allow me to place them on that beautiful instrument just playing notes and wondering how to join them to build up something that sounded good!  A real difficult task at that time.

I went to High School in Brazil, where I lived eight years. In 1976 I managed to get hold of a drum kit (still with me today) and with three schoolmates formed our first rock band: “Rat Poison”. We played punk rock. After a brief time of drumming badly the poor instrument I was captivated by guitarists such as: Jan Akkerman, Steve Howe, Carlos Santana; Jimmy Hendrix, Al Dimeola, Jimmy Page, Ritchie Blackmore, Young Angus, Ted Nuggent, Eric Clapton, and more classical like: Narciso Yepes, Paco de Lucia, Tomatito, Baden Powel, Toquinho, long list…

My dad gave me an electric guitar, a Fender Stratocaster (still with me as well) and wanting to study some rock I went to a Brazilian music academy where I was taught how to play some classical and bossa nova music. Not my style of learning, but always helpful. I was always more of an autodidact.

In 1982 I returned to Argentina (where I still live) and joined La Clave my first band.   I played my Strato and sang for the first time in my life. It was at that time that I realized that I had to take singing lessons due to the calamitous state in which my vocal chords ended every time I sang. I took lessons with several teachers acquiring a lot of good knowledge in the matter.

In 1990, and for about four years, I took drama lessons and began a short but very gratifying acting career. I played both Jesus & Judas in Webber & Rice’s “Jesus Christ Superstar” (obviously not at the same time). Together with some friends we started our own drama company TAG (The Actors Gang).  I wrote plays for Kids, “Save Mrs. Earth” and adults, “The Black Cat” inspired on Edgar Allan Poe’s narrative.

From so much acting and singing I ended up listening to opera and what used to make me sleep became a passion. I took special opera singing lessons and sang at La Scala de San Telmo but a few years later I decided to return to my origins: ROCK n` ROLL! This time I was much more confident with my singing having discovered I had a very wide register and could do great things with my voice without straining it.

In 2002 I played the guitar and sang in a band called NEMO, covering bands such as: Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd & Rush. During that period muses inspired me and I formed Animapectus, my first conceptual music work. There I placed all my crazy (and not so crazy) ideas about our society and some of my answers to existentialist questions.

2007 played bass guitar and sing in 34U, a  rock trio that covered bands such as : Emerson Lake & Palmer, Rush, The Beatles, Duran Duran, and some Argentinean Rock bands.

And Today (2009) I have my own project, which is playing my music on the net. I am lead singer in a Pink Floyd tribute band called F L E S H .  To know more details about my formation click here.
